Rosecrance on Moreland
Opening December 2018
The new Rosecrance facility on Moreland Boulevard in Champaign will be a “Center for Recovery” in the heart of Central Illinois that provides a healing and nurturing environment to young adults and adults struggling with addiction.
This new center will provide residential and outpatient substance use treatment and structured, supportive recovery living to allow clients to become grounded in recovery as they progress toward a successful and drug and alcohol-free life.
Rosecrance’s decades of experience in addiction treatment tell us that long-term recovery is fostered by certain elements: quality, evidence-based programs; a structured and supportive living environment, personal accountability, life and career coaching, and guidance in goal setting. This new center of recovery will be a robust resource for all of these needs. This is a part of our continuum of care to provide outreach and activities to the recovery community.
“The new Center for Recovery will allow Rosecrance to do some important things in the community to improve quality of residential substance abuse services and to offer something we could not offer before. Broadening the scope of services has been, and continues to be the goal. Rosecrance on Moreland will allow us to do that: to broaden the continuum of care.”
—Barry Ackerson, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus and former associate dean in the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois. Chair, Rosecrance Central Illinois Advisory Board
There is an urgent need to provide quality treatment and support to help individuals overcome addiction and gain traction toward a successful future.
The families of Central Illinois have been deeply affected by the national health crisis that has gripped the entire U.S. Fifty eight people died of a drug overdose in 2017 in the immediate seven-county region of Champaign, Ford, Vermilion, Edgar, Douglas, Piatt, and DeWitt counties. Central Illinois deserves to have a high quality resource to respond.
Rosecrance has been at the heart of the treatment movement for decades, and knows that a compassionate, experienced and caring staff and a high quality facility that provides an environment of dignity and respect can make a world of difference to the treatment experience. Recovery is about community. Our goal is to create a center that fosters community and supports our clients to enter a journey toward lasting recovery.
Rosecrance will serve nearly 8,000 clients this year through our substance abuse and mental health programs in Central Illinois, and we intend to serve more people at our new facility.
