Kristin Yarnell, LPC, CADC, CODP II (she/her), earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Photography from Missouri State University and her Master of Arts in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University. She has worked in both residential and outpatient settings as a Substance Use Disorder Therapist and Women’s Program counselor, bringing nine years of experience supporting clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders—particularly women in recovery, survivors of domestic violence, individuals recovering from eating disorders, people living with PTSD, LGBTQ+ communities, justice-involved individuals, and those in crisis. At Rosecrance, Yarnell facilitates evening adult IOP/CC groups and carries a caseload of individual therapy clients, drawing from Art Therapy, Schema Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and LGBTQ+/Gender Affirming Care. She is committed to building genuine rapport and empowering clients toward lasting sobriety and emotional resilience, engaging with a kind-but-firm style that balances being spirited yet professional. Yarnell is also passionate about harm reduction and has volunteered with End Overdose to distribute Narcan and provide rapid trainings at music festivals. Outside of work, she enjoys coffee dates with friends, making art, camping, kayaking, and rock climbing.
