As soon as you start treatment at Rosecrance, you are part of our alumni family. The Rosecrance Alumni Program offers opportunities for connection and a robust selection of behavioral health resources and activities to set you up for success and support your recovery journey

Support from like-minded people

Stay connected through the Rosecrance Alumni App, where you can access help and support when you need it the most. This is a secure, invite-only group for Rosecrance clients, alumni, and staff. The app allows you to:

Sara Hanson

Alumni and Mentor Coordinator

Sara Hanson began her recovery journey in November 2021, first at Rosecrance, Harrison Campus in Rockford, Illinois and then continued at Connections Counseling in Madison, Wisconsin. Hanson became involved in the mentor/mentee program in the Madison area and participated in Alumni Ambassador activities in Rockford. She has experienced firsthand the benefits of connection and companionship that recovery activities and sober events provide. Hanson is a CCAR-certified Recovery Coach and is active in the recovery community throughout southwest Wisconsin. She frequently speaks across the state and brings event planning, collaboration, and team building expertise—as well as experience, strength, and hope—to her role as Alumni and Mentor Coordinator at Connections. Hanson lives in rural southwest Wisconsin with her family and a variety of animals on a hobby farm. Since beginning her recovery, she has become a watercolor painting enthusiast and enjoys a full, busy, and peaceful life.
