Rosecrance Community launches self-service health monitoring stations in Champaign and Rockford

Rosecrance Community is thrilled to announce that its community-based services in Champaign and Rockford are empowering clients to take greater control of their health through the placement of health monitoring devices in the lobbies of its locations.

These innovative kiosks, manufactured by PharmaSmart, are clinically validated vital signs health stations designed to deliver quick and accurate health assessments. These user-friendly machines enable clients to quickly and easily measure their Body Mass Index, blood pressure, pulse, and weight within a minute.

The information collected during the assessment helps Rosecrance Community medical staff connect clients with the appropriate primary care services.

This initiative not only increases clients’ access to vital health metrics but also demonstrates Rosecrance’s dedication to a holistic approach in supporting behavioral health and overall well-being.

“Some of our clients may not have the opportunity to interact directly with a nurse who can perform essential vital checks, such as measuring blood pressure, heart rate, and chart the results,” said Amy Young, Director of Nursing at Rosecrance. “Recognizing this gap, we identified the need for an innovative solution that provides accessible and comprehensive care.”

The PharmaSmart vital signs health kiosks can be found at both Rosecrance Community Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics: Rosecrance Walnut, 801 N. Walnut Street in Champaign, and the Rosecrance Ware Center, 2701 N. Main Street in Rockford.
