Pérez draws from person-centered, mindfulness, strengths-based, and trauma-informed practices to support resilience, self-acceptance and identity.  Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, playing pickleball and spending time with family and friends.

Kristen Pierce Kellerhals, M.S.W, LCSW

Therapist

Kristen Pierce Kellerhals, M.S.W, LCSW

Therapist

Kristen Pierce, MSW, provides trauma-informed therapy for adults, adolescents, and children who are navigating the ongoing impact of traumatic experiences. She supports individuals who may be struggling with relationships, emotion regulation, or functioning in school or work. For children and teens, this can also include concerns such as difficulty focusing, following directions, or managing behavioral challenges. Pierce offers EMDR therapy tailored to each client’s needs, incorporating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dance/Movement Therapy when appropriate. She also provides EMDR services virtually for those who prefer or require remote care. Pierce is passionate about helping clients understand how trauma shapes their beliefs about themselves and the world. She believes that healing becomes possible in a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where individuals can process their experiences and move toward recovery. Pierce completed her MSW at the University of Illinois in 2017 with a 4.0 GPA, earning both the Fund for Field award and Honors designation. Her professional background includes community mental health, inpatient psychiatric settings, school-based services, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy. She is working toward EMDR certification and Dance/Movement Therapy training and has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing grief.
