Outpatient behavioral healthcare is provided for the treatment of mood, anxiety, eating disorders, and weight-related disorders, along with specialized treatment for sports and performance needs.

Maddie Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Rosecrance Therapies | Ascend in Chicago. She believes in building a collaborative partnership with her clients. Utilizing an integrative approach, she tailors each treatment plan to meet individual needs and support healing and personal growth. She earned her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Northwestern University. Prior to her role at Rosecrance, Bennett honed her skills as a therapy intern at Ascend Consultation in Healthcare as well as The Family Institute at Northwestern where she gained a comprehensive understanding of client needs and challenges. Bennett has experience working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, transitions, and relational challenges. She recognizes that emotional wellbeing is deeply connected to all aspects of life. She aims to support individuals with gaining the insight and self-understanding needed to navigate their personal journey with more confidence and clarity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running outdoors, baking, and traveling to new places.

Lauren Hendry, M.S., RDN, LDN is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Rosecrance Therapies Chicago, certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also completed her dietetic internship. Hendry’s interest in nutrition began in high school while learning to fuel for sports. Her goal as a dietitian is to use an individualized approach to help improve clients’ relationships with their bodies, food, and exercise, and she is dedicated to supporting clients on their recovery journey. At Rosecrance Therapies, Hendry provides individual nutrition counseling, leads Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meals, co-leads support groups, and facilitates client sessions.

Josh Kaplan earned his master’s degree in clinical counseling from Rosalind Franklin University. Before joining Rosecrance Therapies, Kaplan worked in sports and performance psychology as well as mental health, supporting high performers in individual, group, and team settings through psychoeducation, mental skills training, and cognitive assessment. Clinically, he has experience with individuals facing eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and learning disabilities. Kaplan’s approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and incorporates elements of mindfulness and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT).

Emiliana Mladic is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 10 years of experience providing care to children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of clinical settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Child & Adolescent Distinction from Lewis University. Mladic brings extensive clinical and leadership experience from community mental health, K–12 schools, private practice, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs, serving both as a clinician and clinical supervisor. She has a strong passion for working in higher levels of care and values the impact of individual and group therapy in supporting meaningful change. Her clinical approach is strengths-based and individualized, drawing most frequently from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support skill development, along with Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Mladic prioritizes personalized treatment that builds on each individual’s strengths, motivation, preferences, and goals to promote lasting outcomes. Mladic has experience working with individuals facing eating disorders, substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, adoption and attachment concerns, and identity-related challenges. She is an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care. Outside of work, Mladic enjoys spending time with her family, attending agility classes with her two corgis, snuggling her black cat, traveling, going to concerts, and exploring new restaurants.

Darby Roth holds a Master of Social Work from Lewis University and earned her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She specializes in eating disorder treatment at the intersection of performance and mental health, working with athletes, performers, and high achieving individuals. Her approach is strength-based, collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs and lived experiences of each client. Roth is currently pursuing her CMPC and CEDS credentials and works under ongoing supervision in both performance psychology and eating disorder care to ensure high-quality and ethical support.

Callie Schiesl is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Rosecrance Therapies | Ascend in Chicago, certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition and dietetic internship through the University of Illinois at Chicago. Schiesl completed part of her dietetic internship at Ascend before joining the team full time upon obtaining certification and licensure. Her interest in nutrition began during her undergraduate studies while exploring the gut-brain axis in microbiology courses. Schiesl takes an individualized, holistic approach to nutrition support to help improve the quality of life for her patients.
