Juan-Estefan Vitela, LCSW, MSW, is a therapist at Rosecrance Behavioral Health’s Beverly office in Chicago. He earned a Master of Social Work from Indiana University in 2018 and a bachelor’s degree in human services from Calumet College of St. Joseph in 2015. Vitela joined Rosecrance in August 2026. Vitela works with adolescents, middle-aged adults and couples, helping clients navigate a range of behavioral health and relationship concerns. His areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, relationship issues and substance use concerns. He also supports individuals who are working to maintain sobriety and has experience working with clients with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. His primary treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing. Vitela also provides couples therapy, including support for newly married couples and those in new relationships who want to strengthen their connection. Vitela particularly enjoys helping adolescents develop their identities and prepare for adult responsibilities. He also works with adults navigating midlife transitions and exploring their authentic selves, as well as individuals committed to sustaining recovery from substance use and other addictions.
