Stephanie Valentin, LCPC, CRADC, M.A.C (she/her/hers) is a Therapist at Rosecrance Therapies in Northbrook who provides counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults across a range of behavioral health needs. She joined the Rosecrance team in March 2026 and brings more than 15 years of experience in addiction counseling and mental health care. Valentin has worked across outpatient, community mental health, and residential settings, with extensive experience supporting teens navigating substance use, trauma, and involvement in the justice system. She now focuses on earlier, more preventative care, working with children, families, and individuals to address challenges before they escalate. Her clinical approach is rooted in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, harm reduction, and client-centered care. Valentin specializes in treating substance use disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and behavioral concerns in children and adolescents. She works with a wide range of populations, including children ages 7 and older, teens, young adults, adults, and justice-involved or mandated clients. Valentin has a particular interest in helping clients navigate life transitions and complex challenges such as pregnancy, early parenthood, trauma, school refusal, and addiction. She is committed to creating a supportive, compassionate environment where clients and families can build resilience and work toward meaningful change. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, as well as an associate degree in addiction counseling from the College of Lake County and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Hispanic studies from Illinois Wesleyan University.
