Heather Fisher joined Rosecrance in 2016 as an outpatient child and family therapist before transitioning to her current role as the Outpatient Supervisor for Mental Health Services in McHenry County, located in Illinois. She has worked in various roles at not-for-profit mental health agencies since 2008 and became a licensed therapist for children and adults in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in community counseling from Argosy University in Chicago. Her person-centered therapy style incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and play therapy. While always practicing through a trauma lens. She also strives to be an ally to LGBTQ+ individuals and provides a gender-affirming environment. She enjoys painting and spending time with her family in her free time.
