Residential Recovery Services for Northern Illinois

Residential treatment is a first step toward a life in recovery. Our intensive residential program has the capacity to serve 98 individuals. Clients will engage in group and individual therapy; experiential therapies that may include art, music and yoga; and family programming including group and individual counseling. Our goal is to help adults find passion and purpose in life after treatment.

At Rosecrance, we understand mental health and substance abuse disorders are so often related and intertwined, finding help for both isn’t easy. With this in mind, we offer combined treatment for co-occurring disorders to enhance recovery and accelerate progress.

Spiritual exploration and 12-Step programming are integral to what we do, creating a meaningful foundation to sustain recovery. Other aspects of residential treatment include educational sessions, life skills groups, discharge planning, and relapse prevention, on behalf of our teams of licensed treatment professionals.

Rosecrance Health Center

The Rosecrance Health Center, located at the Harrison Campus in Northern Illinois, delivers medically monitored care to clients in treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. As a client, your care will be based on your individual needs, and you may receive a range of services. These services can include substance abuse/addiction education, intervention and counseling. This center is the access point to detoxification and withdrawal management services also, on a 24/7 basis.

Opioid Specific Care

The Opioid Specific treatment provides evidence-based programming to treat clients’ entire physical, mental, and spiritual health while helping to identify and cope with the real reasons behind opiate abuse. We realize that opiate addiction is not just a physical problem. Our trained staff work with this unique population to address the developmental, physical, mental health, and addictive issues of opioid addicted individuals. Education is provided on Medication Assisted Therapy and the assessment of and treatment for chronic pain. Effective case management is provided to monitor and maintain ongoing supportive and aftercare services for opiate addicted individuals.

Florian Program

Uniformed service personnel such as firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement officers, and military can encounter traumatic events in the line of duty every day. To deal with the stress of their jobs, some may turn to alcohol and other drugs.

The Rosecrance Florian Program offers the best opportunity for lasting recovery by incorporating occupational factors into the treatment process.

The program is directed by an active-duty battalion chief/EMT with nearly three decades of experience in firefighting and in the addiction and mental health field. Staff work in collaboration with a board- certified psychiatrist/addictionologist who is trained and experienced in treating uniformed service personnel for co-occurring disorders.

Expression

Experiential therapy is a proven component of a comprehensive treatment plan. Art can be the expression of an individual journey, a chance to practice mindfulness, or the exploration of a healthy new activity.

Wellness

Part of living in community, whether residential treatment or recovery living, is breaking bread together. Good food in a comfortable setting fosters conversation and connection in a relaxed environment.

Community

Recovery is a lifelong journey, which is why Rosecrance is here to provide support and community to alumni every day, every step of the way. With its intentional, innovative alumni program, Rosecrance is able to offer an environment for alumni to grow together in recovery.
