Speakers share stories at Rockford Rally for Mental Health

The National Alliance on Mental Illness/Northern Illinois kicked off Mental Illness Awareness Week Monday, Oct 8, with a “Rally for Mental Health” held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Winnebago County Justice Center, 650 W. State St., Rockford.

Dozens of people attended the outdoor event, which included poems, songs, speeches and personal stories of mental illness and recovery.
