Rosecrance’s Mary Ann Abate to speak at women’s healthcare seminar

A Night to Celebrate Women in Healthcare: The Role and Influences of Women in Healthcare Professions

Mary Ann Abate, Rosecrance Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Mental Health Services, will speak on a panel at “A Night to Celebrate Women in Healthcare: The Role and Influences of Women in Healthcare Professions.”

The seminar is Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the University of Illinois School of Medicine Auditorium, 1601 Parkview Avenue, Rockford, IL 61107.

Other panelists include Dr. Diana Boone (Rockford Health Systems), Sharon Garcia (Winnebago County Health Department), Ellyn Rose de Jesus (University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford), Dr. Kathleen Kelly (SwedishAmerican Hospital), Dr. Lisa Malone (Crusader Community Health), Dr. Elizabeth Mendeloff (University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford), Dr. Jamie Milos (Private practice dentistry) and Leta Stewart (OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center). Dr. Patrician Ryan Lewis (University of Illinois College of Nursing in Chicago/Rockford) is the moderator.

The seminar is hosted by the University of Illinois School of Medicine and is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford and the American Association of University Women, Rockford Area Branch.
