Register Star reports on ‘busy’ Rosecrance Triage Center

Rockford Register Star reporter Melissa Westphal writes about the Rosecrance Triage Center, which is located in downtown Rockford’s Ware Center and opened Oct. 29.

Rosecrance staff did 49 patient assessments either at local hospital emergency rooms or at the triage center in October once Singer stopped taking new admissions on Oct. 1. Staff members respond to hospitals within an hour of being called for patient evaluations and also have responded directly to clients at the request of police officers and caseworkers.

The story also says the topic of the Triage Center “occupied most of the discussion at this month’s Winnebago County Mental Health Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday.”
