In Good Company: A family support group
Introducing a dedicated support and education group for the loved ones of clients receiving care through Rosecrance Resilience.
Rosecrance Resilience is a treatment program specifically designed for first responders, frontline workers, and those who work in safety-sensitive occupations. These individuals serve in high-risk, high-stress professions, which may spark grief, trauma, anxiety, or depression, and subsequently can fuel substance use, maladaptive functioning, and mental health challenges that affect the family.
We understand that being part of a first responder family presents unique challenges. To address these specific needs and promote resilience within the family system, we offer In Good Company, a dedicated support and education group for the loved ones of clients receiving care through Rosecrance Resilience.
This program is specifically designed for spouses, domestic partners, adult children, and parents of individuals in treatment at any level of care, including residential, outpatient, or individual therapy.
The goal of In Good Company is to provide families with the tools and support they need during their loved one’s treatment journey. Topics will include:
- Emotional wellness and self-care
- Family communication strategies
- Navigating life’s challenges and stressors
- Preparing for post-treatment transitions
- Accessing resources and community support
- Support group sessions
Time: Biweekly on Wednesdays, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Virtual; a secure virtual link will be provided upon completion of registration.
This is an open-ended, revolving program that is led by experienced Rosecrance Resilience clinicians and trained peer support advocates who are well-versed in the experiences of first responders, frontline workers, and individuals in safety-sensitive professions.
This format allows participants to gain insights, develop skills, and share their experiences in a supportive environment.
