In the news: ‘Cooking Up Hope’ featured in Naperville Sun

The Naperville Sun published a feature on Rosecrance’s Cooking Up Hope.

From the article:

“All proceeds from the event will be used to help the families of Chicago-area teens get into treatment,” Emerson said in an email. “Last year we raised more than $40,000 for treatment at this one event and this year, the goal is $75,000.”

Sportscaster and foundation board member Dave Kaplan is scheduled to be the event’s emcee, and eight of last year’s participating eateries will return this time. Among them is Kuma J. Kim, who owns Kuma’s Asian Bistro in downtown Naperville. She met a teen recovering from addiction in the Rosecrance program at last year’s benefit, when he was assigned to be her helper.

Tickets for Cooking Up Hope are still available and can be purchased here. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Naperville Country Club.
