NAMI Northern Illinois is hosting the fourth annual “Get to Know NAMI” Open House from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Klehm Arboretum, 2715 S. Main St., Rockford.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature educational displays, descriptions of support groups and testimonials from family members who have benefitted from the mental health services offered by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
Refreshments will be served, and there will be an awards presentation at 6 p.m. honoring those whose actions have helped to reduce the stigma of mental illiness and improve the lives of people living with mental illness.
