Rosecrance AlumnusKyle W and his mother Crystal N

Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Alumnus featured in the Herald News

Kyle W (RGW) and his mother Crystal N were featured last month in a Herald News article addressing substance abuse and its effects on the family. Kyle shared his battle with addiction and the events that led him to services at Rosecrance Health Network. He is an active member of the Rosecrance Alumni Program, attends high school, and often shares his story of recovery.

Crystal reports she was clueless about Kyle’s use or what steps she could take to help him. Today Kyle has 20 months clean and sober and Crystal is starting a support group at Healing Waters Yoga, 25949 W Shepley Road, Minooka, Illinois. The “Serenity Steps” support group will provide support, education, and hope to families and individuals dealing with substance abuse. “Serenity Steps” will meet every other Friday at 7:00 pm and will include guest speakers and education for families. For more information you can contact Crystal at info@serenitysteps.org.

Are you a Rosecrance alumnus who is also a musician?

If so, the Rosecrance Alumni Program is looking for you!

"The Rosecrance Alumni Program is looking to form a band or two consisting of Rosecrance alumni who are working a program and still have the love of music. This is an opportunity to be able to play with others who share both the life of recovery and music. Let's get it going!"
-Marty C, Alumni Advisory Committee Chair

This may be an opportunity to perform not only at Rosecrance alumni functions such as picnics and dinner dances, but also at outside recovery group functions. For more information, please leave a message for Marty C at 815-387-2537 or 815-222-6371.
