Kelly Dinsmore, B.A.

Director of Business Development

Kelly Dinsmore is responsible for the development of new business relationships, joint ventures and outreach in Boone County and Wisconsin. Before returning in 2008, Kelly was with Rosecrance from 2002 to 2005. She began her career at Roscrance in as a Community Relations Representative. Kelly earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University and is a Illinois state certified teacher in secondary education. She is a newly appointed board member of the Wisconsin Association on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Rockford Health Council and Greater Wisconsin Employee Assistance Chapter.


Judy Emerson, M.S.

Director of Communications

Judy Emerson is responsible for internal and external communications at Rosecrance, including working with news media and overseeing publications. For more than 22 years, Emerson was a noted columnist and journalist for the Rockford Register Star. She received the “Stigma Buster Award” from Janet Wattles Center for her reporting through the years on mental health issues. She is an active volunteer in the community through Rotary, the Rock River Valley Pantry, the Rockford Coronado Concert Association and other groups. Emerson holds a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon. She has been with Rosecrance since 2008.


Claudia Evenson, CSADC

Director of Outreach

Claudia Evenson oversees outreach services in the Chicago area including our five satellite office operations. In addition, she coordinates various community activities such as educational programming in schools and early intervention classes. Evenson holds a certificate in Addiction Studies from Felician College and is a Certified Supervisor Alcohol Drug Counselor. She currently serves as a delegate to the Illinois Student Assistance Professional Board, as well as sits on the Community Network Regarding LGBTQ Youth for DuPage County, Illinois. Evenson has worked in the addictions field for more than 27 years and joined Rosecrance in 2004.


Jason Gorham, M.S.

Administrator of Residential Services, Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus

Jason Gorham oversees all operations at the Griffin Williamson Campus. He began at Rosecrance in 1990 as a unit counselor and has spent his entire Rosecrance career in adolescent services. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration from Concordia University and a Master’s degree in the Science of Management from Cardinal Stritch University.


Joan Lodge, M.S., LCSW

Director of Emergency Service, Rosecrance Ware Center

Joan Lodge oversees all emergency services provided at the Rosecrance Ware Center. Lodge is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her Master’s degree in social work from Aurora University. Lodge has been involved in social work since 1991, when she entered the field as a case worker.


Denita Lynde, B.A., CADC

Director of Recovery Homes

Denita Lynde oversees Rosecrance’s recovery homes, which serve patients who have completed primary substance abuse treatment: Hillman House for boys, Marlow House for girls and Greendale House for adults and women with children. Denita is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) and holds a degree in psychology from Northern Illinois University. She serves on the Illinois Task Force on Women’s Issues in Treatment. Denita was a Unit Coordinator at the Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus for adolescents since 2003.


Christine Nicholson, B.F.A.

Experiential Therapies Department Supervisor

Christine Nicholson oversees all experiential activities for adolescent clients, which encompasss art, fitness, horticultural and recreational therapeutic activities. She supervises a team of experts in their specialty areas and conducts internal staff development. Christine holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rockford College. She is a recognized Rockford-area artist with works on public display. In her position at Rosecrance, Christine has participated in several research studies on the role of horticulture and art in addiction treatment and recovery.


Charity Shaw-Moyado, LCSW, LPHA

Administrator, Rosecrance Berry Campus

Charity Shaw-Moyado oversees the Rosecrance Berry Campus, where she directs children and adolescent mental health services for Rosecrance’s mental health division. Previously, she served as Associate Director of the Emergency Services Department of the Rosecrance Ware Campus.


Craig Stallings, M.S., ED., LCPC, NCC, CADC

Administrator of Residential Services, Rosecrance Harrison Campus

Craig Stallings oversees all residential programs for adult services. He received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in counseling from Northern Illinois University. Areas of expertise include treatment modalities and specialized services, and current trends. He sits on the Rockford Health Council. Craig joined Rosecrance in 1997.


Stephen W. Smith, M.S., L.P.C., C.A.D.C.

Director, Aspen Counseling and Consulting, L.L.C.

Stephen Smith has extensive experience working with individuals are families dealing with addictions, mental health problems, life skills development, LGBT issues and life issues specific to young adults. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western University and his graduate studies at National Louis University. Stephen has been director of Aspen since June 2010. He joined Rosecrance in 2006.
