Chief Medical Officer/Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs
Dr. Thomas Wright oversees all medical operations for Rosecrance. He specializes in working with adolescents who have a co-existing or secondary diagnosis in addition to an addiction disorder. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the field. Dr. Wright is certified as a child and adolescent psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in addiction medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He served on the faculty at Northwestern Medical College in Chicago and at The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and Rockford. Dr. Wright is a regular conference presenter and has been recognized as a medical educator and leader in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Wright received the “Clinician of the Year” award for clinical excellence from Addiction Professional in 2015. He joined Rosecrance in 2005.
Medical Director of Rosecrance Harrison Campus
Dr. Garcia oversees clinical treatment and care at the Rosecrance Harrison Adult Campus. He has been Board Certified in psychiatry and neurology since 1999. He is licensed in Illinois and is a member of Illinois Psychiatric Society and the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Garcia has received the Golden Apple and Mentor of the Year Awards in teaching. He joined Rosecrance in 2009.
Chief Attending Physician of the Health Center
Dr. Alvydas “Al” Baris oversees clinical treatment and medical operations for the Rosecrance Health Center located at the Harrison Campus. He received his Medical Degree from Rush Medical College. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and is also certified as an Addictionologist by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Baris has more than 31 years of experience in family practice and emergency medicine. He has been with Rosecrance for more than 15 years.
Allison Pale, RN, MSN, FNP
Director of Nursing
Allison Pale oversees nursing practice and infection control for all mental health and substance abuse services. She has been a registered nurse for 16 years, with 14 of those years spent as a family nurse practitioner. She comes to Rockford from her most recent role as director of nursing for Planned Parenthood of New York City and also spent time working in San Francisco and Vermont. Pale earned her bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of California San Francisco. After receiving her master’s degree, she went to Africa for several years to work with Doctors Without Borders.
