Rosecrance Harrison Campus hosts Veterans Day Ceremony

Members of Veterans of Foreign War Post #9759 of Loves Park salute the flag during the Veterans Day ceremony held Nov. 12, 2012, at the Rosecrance Harrison Campus.

Rosecrance Harrison Campus held its second annual Veterans Day Service on Monday, Nov. 12, honoring veterans among the staff, clients and in the families of Rosecrance. The program included a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, a singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” prayers, poems, a moment of silence, folding of the flag (with explanation of what the 13 folds mean), a slide show and more. The Rosecrance Harrison Campus has an inpatient unit that specializes in the treatment of veterans with substance abuse problems and mental health issues.

Adam Abdul, commander of the VFW Post #9759 in Loves Park, folds the U.S. flag with two other members of the post at the Veterans Day Ceremony held at the Rosecrance Harrison Campus.
