Rosecrance Chief Medical Officer receives Distinguished Fellow Award

Rosecrance is pleased to announce that Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tom Wright, has received a Distinguished Fellow award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and was recognized at AACAP’s annual meeting at the end of October.

A Distinguished Fellow is the highest membership honor that AACAP bestows upon members and is a hallmark of excellence in one’s professional career. It is awarded to outstanding child and adolescent psychiatrists in recognition of their professional achievements and exemplary level of training, skill, and experience in a specialty area.

Dr. Thomas Wright has nearly 25 years’ experience in the field and joined Rosecrance in 2005. He oversees all medical operations for Rosecrance and specializes in working with adolescents who have a co-existing or secondary diagnosis in addition to an addiction disorder.

Additionally, Dr. Wright served on the faculty at Northwestern Medical College in Chicago and at The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and Rockford. He is a regular conference presenter and has been recognized as a medical educator and leader in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Wright received the “Clinician of the Year” award for clinical excellence from Addiction Professional in 2015.
