This workshop will help participants learn the five prevention strategies and how these relate to our larger community, the effects of substance abuse on adolescent development, signs and symptoms of abuse and dependency, and more. Seven IAODAPCA CEUs and seven educational CPDUs offered. | Why is it so difficult to get a loved one to stop abusing substances? What can a parent do in advance to prevent serious problems? Attendees will learn new ways of interacting with a loved one regarding their use of substances, hear a personal story of addiction and recovery, and more. | An interactive tasting of culinary delights you won't want to miss featuring well-known area chefs. All proceeds are used to provide charity care to Chicagoland youth and their families who seek substance abuse and mental health treatment through Rosecrance but need financial assistance. | ||
